End end end :(

So I’m sat here at nearly 7pm on the day of our first broadcast. WOW!
Great fun was had by all, as I’m sure you’ll all agree. Listener numbers are available tomorrow, but today the website alone has generated over 600 hits, which is much more than was expected. For those that had problems with re-buffering, we apologise as it was out of our control, but we hope to rectify it for next time. Thanks to all that helped technically, including the ICT technicians, and the music department.
Eventually, with all technical problems as fixed as they could be, we started. First up was the lunch hour n twenty with pre-chosen music with a mix of chat. I’m sure you’ll agree a variety of music was played, which tried to satisfy all tastes (even if some songs were a bit strange).
Period 5 was the scene for the history, and very chaotic science quiz. The chaos was eventually sorted out, and students who came up to the studio really enjoyed themselves.
After school, when every sane person had left, we had two live acts take over the sixth form corridoor. Ex- temple moor boys Kinch came first and played two songs from their repertoire. I for one really enjoyed their songs, and we managed to weasel some answers out of them when it came to interview time. Next up was current -1 temple moor boys Electric Umbrella. Jamie (drummer) was thrown out onto the corridoor for this bit, as the other two sat in the relative comfort of the studio. Another two great songs with an interview was a highlight of the day. After the (relatively sane) bands went home, the Temple Moor DJ’s took over with some music and a lot of chat, ending on a musical note singing to Fill My Little World.
To conclude, we all established that we wanted to do something like this in the future, and get as may others involved as possible. You never know, next time it could be you!
Thanks go to all that helped in whatever way. Without the team behind us, we could never have succeeded.
So long….
PS. for those that didn’t catch it, Coldplay won the Song Battle
